How are You Lenting?

I asked the Ora writers how they're moving closer to God in this season of stripping away worldly things so we can obtain the things of eternity. We'd love to hear in the comments section how you're Lenting this year!


1. What's your Lenten focus for this year (Prayer, fasting, almsgiving)?

For lent this year, I am fasting on Wednesdays and Fridays for the intentions of my parish.

2. How are you implementing your fast? 

I am usually terrible at fasting, but this year I feel like my motivation is sincere so it’s going pretty well so far. I am having a smoothie for breakfast, then a simple meal midday (and lots of tea to see me through).

3. Generally speaking, what is your favourite way to pray?

My favorite ways to pray are saying a morning rosary with my husband, meditating with the Hallow app, and singing praise to God with friends (or alone if I have to). I also love a good Christian book, especially anything by Henri Nouwen.
